Get the K-9 Look

Hi everyone! This week I wanted to share with you my two greatest loves; dogs and fashion. What better way to do that than to combine the two together. Dog inspiration seems to be saturating fashion. Dog breeds of all kinds can be seen printed on all sorts of apparel including silk blouses, knitted sweaters, shorts, dresses as well as all accessories. Being a dog lover I was quick to jump on this trend.
Dogs have been an important part of my life from a very young age. Now, I am blessed to have two beautiful dogs named Marlon & Brando. They add so much love and joy to my life and always make me feel special.
I have put together a fun dog inspired outfit. I have referenced the pieces below in 'Get My K-9 Look collage.'  Every time I have worn this dog sweater I have had people approach me in the street and comment on how much they love it. Dogs seem to put a smile on everybody's face, even simply as a print.  I styled my dog sweater with these new green dog printed shorts I got from Oasap.com   They can look so chic dressed up with a high collared silk blouse tucked in, worn with a fitted blazer or alternatively they can be dressed down and styled with a simple white tee.

I love to show who I am and what I love through what I wear.  I particularly enjoy putting together  playful and fun looks.  Having someone comment and smile at something cute you are wearing is a great way to engage with people. So why not add some cute and quirky dog inspiration to your looks? Check out the K-9 look collages that I've put together for you below.

Getting Festive with Metallics

Hi everyone! As you know the festive season is near approaching, so I thought I'd share a trend which screams out celebration! This trend is 'Metallics.' Metallics can be so much fun to wear, however it is important to not go too crazy and combine too many shiny pieces in your ensemble at the same time. I like to put together pieces that have a contrasting matte finish to the metallic. I think accessories are the perfect way to  tie in this glitzy trend into your look.
I've styled in my look below a leather metallic blue skirt that I bought in Hong Kong over a Forever New dress. I am able to wear a dress under the skirt due to the fullness of the piece. I wore this look to a friends wedding recently and people assumed it was a dress; the print seemed to blend in perfectly with the blue skirt.  I finished the look with a blue suede pair of heels from Nine West.
I have styled some looks below to give you some ideas on how to style a metallic skirt. Why not celebrate Christmas with a splash of metallic!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dressing up with Mickey!

Hello lovelies! I am so sorry for my absence over the past month. I have just returned from Hong Kong. What an incredible city! I had such an brilliant time and know I'll be craving to return soon. I loved the variety of delicious food and endless shopping amongst the many boutiques that surround the inner streets. There is also good old bargain shopping to be had at the many street markets. I can't wait to share my new purchases with you all in the coming posts.
The first thing on my to do list for Hong Kong was to visit Disneyland.  I have been a huge Mickey & Minnie Mouse fan since I was a child, so you can imagine how excited I was when I entered the gates of Hong Kong Disneyland. I was like a kid in a candy store.
In my outfit below I'm wearing my new Minnie Mouse tee that I bought from Disneyland as well as this striking Mickey Mouse bag.  Some people might say it is childish styling Mickey Mouse accessories and apparel in day to day looks, but you know what, I don't care! It makes me feel young and takes me to a magical world like all Disney movies seem to do.  I have styled my Mickey pieces with my new Zara floral jacquard trousers and Nine West shoes. This helps to create a more mature look.
Below I have styled some fun Mickey/Minnie Mouse looks for you.  I have tried to source affordable items. Bring out the inner child in you and add a bit of Mickey to your wardrobe.

See you soon!
