Well, The Melbourne weather has certainly hit us hard this week and what better way to fight the cold than with a hat! I love hats not only for their practicality and warmth but because of how much personality they add to an outfit.

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

Hi everyone! I couldn't wait to share with you my new over the knee boots from Witchery. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boots for quite some time now. I was inspired by one of my style icons, Miroslava Duma (check out my style crush post on her here). She is the queen of over the knee boots and has the innate ability to style them in a way that combines classic elegance with a modern edge (see below).

Over the knee boots and mini skirts are a match made in heaven, however, it is a good idea to leave an inch between where the boot finishes and your skirt begins. To avoid looking like a cheap date, ensure that your ensemble is not skin tight.  I particularly love wearing layers with over the knee boots as it establishes a strong and interesting look. SOPHIA WEBSTER

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you my favourite shoe designer Sophia Webster. I was introduced to this genius label during London Fashion Week last year when viewing upcoming UK designers. The brand's shoe display resembled the likes of a candy store. I immediately quizzed my hosts on the collection and they informed me that it was an up and coming UK designer named Sophia Webster and that her shoes had already a strong celebrity following including Rihanna.
Before initiating her own accessory brand Sophia worked as a design assistant to Nicholas Kirkwood. Now her own name shines in lights as she presents innovative, playful shoes and bags that combine everything from holographic details, beaded heels, transparent elements, metal accents and much more. Her shoes take you into another world.  I think Sophia summed up her designs perfectly in a Vogue interview saying "what I do is very feminine and fun and done in a chic, sexy way. My shoes are for women who want to express their personality through their shoes and will appreciate and enjoy them."
