OFF THE SHOULDER TOPS

Hi everyone! I know I gave you all a sneak peek at this look on my Instagram and Facebook account a while back but here's the full post.
Off the shoulder tops, a must have in your summer wardrobe. I have been wearing off the shoulder tops for years. In fact my first designs were off the shoulder, back in the day when my mother would sew them for me. There's something very sexy about this style and exposing a little shoulder.
I'm wearing the 'Jax Off' shoulder top from Milli Lulo which also comes in white.
I have styled some different ways that you can incorporate an off the shoulder top into your summer looks. I hope you like them.
Take care lovely people.

BRAIDED KNIT

Hi everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely week. It has been a while since I have shared my own designs so I thought I'd take the opportunity to do so in this post. I have always loved designing knitwear. I love the fun you can create with prints and patterns as well as the way it shapes the body.
I designed this crop braided knit for a client. It was designed with a ballerina midi skirt to help create an elegant and playful look. However, below I have styled it with this grey H&M skirt for a more casual feel.
I was inspired by braided hairstyles when designing the top as you can see in the inspirational pics below.

I hope you like the top. I absolutely love wearing it.

THE LONG SLEEVE MAXI DRESS

Hello lovely people. As we begin to be exposed to some warmer weather in Australia, understanding Melbourne's climate mood swings, means we always have to be prepared for some cool days to set in.  I think I have found the perfect piece to help transition into Summer, a light maxi dress with sleeves.
I have fallen in love with longer hemlines and have invested in many midi and maxi skirts this year. However its very easy for me to slip back into my mini options for the illusion of height.  Like many of us do, we stick to what we are used to.  I am a strong believer in pushing your boundaries when it comes to fashion and always encourage my clients to try new things, so I have heeded my own advice and experimented with the maxi dress. I was a little daring and wore some  hot pants underneath. I would only ever do that for a blog post. I don't think I'm brave enough to wear this look everyday.

I've selected some maxi dresses with sleeves for you below. Wear them with a biker jacket and boots on a cool day or throw some sandals and a bikini on for summer. A great transitional piece.

Jeanswest Look 3 & Summer Launch Brunch

Hello again! It's time to share my third Jeanswest look with you as well as the gorgeous Summer launch breakfast that Jeanswest hosted. I'll start with the look. Below I'm wearing Jeanswest's Cancun Embroidered Kaftan (which also comes in black) and the Belize Bracelets. I planned on wearing it over bathers, however thought I'd attempt to dress it up with a black slip and heels. I love the detailed embroidery and feel so good in this piece.

Now moving on to the amazing Jeanswest summer launch brunch. The event took place at West Beach Bathers Paviilion in St Kilda on an incredibly sunny Melbourne morning.  The location was a perfect backdrop for the launch of the Jeanswest Holiday Essential Range.

I was so excited to preview the collection which included tribal-inspired swimwear, beach pants,  kaftans, bags, hats and for the first time handmade jewellery. And let me tell you, this jewellery collection is stunning. You can tell by the weight of the pieces that you are buying quality. I was fortunate enough to talk to the designer behind the Holiday Essentials Collection Suzi Kyriakidis.  Suzi  explained a lot of her inspiration came from her travels which you can clearly see with the Moroccan and even Grecian influences.

I was so impressed by the collection and wanted it all! From the beautiful prints to the flattering cuts, quality fabrics and intricate finishes, it was a real treat!
I am thrilled to see the new direction Jeanswest is moving in.  They have always provided quality jeans suited to all body types but now they have expanded their audience through this new collection.
