Shopping with Sheinside.com

Hello lovely people. I want to apologise for being a phantom on Dusty Petals over the past month.  For those of you who follow Dusty Petals Facebook page or Instagram, you will know that I have been overseas. We traveled to Paris, what a charming and beautiful city. After Paris we went to Ireland to celebrate our friend's wedding. We had the most incredible time. Those Irish sure know how to party! We then explored the incredible city of Amsterdam and all its art history.  Finally,  on the way home we went to Singapore to soak up some vitamin D and of course do some serious shopping. It was such an amazing time away.

One piece that I wore to death overseas was this gorgeous houndstooth coat that I was generously gifted by Sheinside.com   I thought what better way to show you this piece than in the streets of Paris during my trip.  Not only was this coat incredibly comfortable and warm but it made a bold statement standing out amongst the sea of black worn by the Parisians.

Sheinside.com is an online store which provides fun, on trend pieces for such an affordable price. I encourage you to check it out. To get you started I have styled some looks below using products from Sheinside.com

H&M Australian Launch

Hi everyone! Some of you may have seen on Dusty Petals Facebook and Intsagram that I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch of the first Australian H&M store on Thursday night. I love that Melbourne was the first Australian state to welcome H&M.  6 more stores will follow in Australia, so don't despair non Melburnians.

I had the opportunity to navigate through the historical GPO building with 5,000 square metres dedicated entirely to three levels of men, women, children's clothing and also a 'homes' section. I was like a kid in a candy store. The night included celebrity spotting, an incredible bar menu including my favourite Mojito drink, delicious and modern canapes and of course the opportunity to be the first to purchase in this flagship Melbourne store. However I was disappointed that my girl crush Miranda Kerr wasn't there.

H&M have taken over the iconic, stunning GPO building respectfully by maintaing and blending in with its luxurious, clean white walls and blonde wooden accents.
I encourage you to visit H&M today! The store opens to the public at 10am. No more waiting for your next overseas trip to shop at H&M!
Check out some pics from the opening launch party below.
Take care lovely people.

Wish

Hi lovely people! I was so excited to be invited to collaborate with Wish. I jumped at the opportunity to share with you some of my favourite pieces from their range.  Below I am wearing my new favourite piece; the Boulevard Blouse, thank you so much Wish. I am infatuated with this piece because of its beautiful detailed lace panels. I know it will be worn excessively.

Wish perfectly describe their Winter 2014 Collection as having "clean, modern silhouettes which are adorned with baroque inspired embroidery as fresh fuses elegantly with traditional."
I personally love how each individual product has an element of surprise, either through its combinations of fabrics, bold prints or sleek silhouettes. Wish always present a modern and sexy collection whilst maintaining femininity.
I have selected some of my favourite pieces from Wish below.
Thank you so much Wish for your generosity! I can't wait for  my next purchase!

Visit their Facebook Page for regular updates.

BRING OUT THE ANIMAL IN YOU

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week. Melbourne, being typically unpredictable with its weather threw in a cool day in summer and all of a sudden I had to dress for an autumn day. I was actually quite excited as I'm sure I've mentioned before, I'd much rather dress for winter than summer as I adore winter fashion!
I found this red leopard print dress in my wardrobe with the tag still and 5 inches too long for me.  I quickly got our the sewing machine to shorten the hem and threw it on, eager to style.  Animal prints  always seem to make a comeback, however designers surprise us with variations of fabric, texture and print combinations. I think every woman should own at least one animal print piece and the safest bet would be leopard printed flats.

I have put together some looks based around animal printed dresses below. I hope they inspire you a little.

Love this combination of floral and leopard print!!
